“If aliens visit us, the outcome would be much as when Columbus landed in  America, which didn’t turn out well for the Native Americans.”- Stephen Hawking

In Alienated by Melissa Landers, humanity has made contact with alien life… and so far it hasn’t been too bad. The aliens cured cancer, which is a pretty great way to make friends, but relations between Earth and the visitors from space haven’t been completely smooth. To improve the relationship, the aliens are creating an exchange program and ordinary high schooler Cara Sweeney has been tapped to participate. It promises to be an out of this world experience, and she plans to blog it all. Of course, things get pretty ugly and the stakes are astronomical.

I liked this book a lot. Cara is smart and ambitious a combination that can get a girl lots of places. Aelyx is alien, his ideas and thoughts are sometimes weird, but sometimes he is kind of human.

This is a fun read. Definite Win!

Look for it on shelves in February!!

Special thanks to Melissa Landers, Disney Hyperion and Netgalley for the free e-ARC.
