When shy, geeky Paul Fisher’s family moves to Tangerine, he is “adopted” by his middle school’s soccer team even though he is legally blind. The story told is that he blinded himself by staring at an eclipse of the sun, but that’s not what really happened. Paul is ignored by his parents, but his angry, older brother Erik (the football star) is practically worshiped. Will Paul ever find the courage to tell others what really happened to him?
